Some of us are lucky enough
to have more than one soul mate,
To have that treasured find in a lover
as well as a few close friends is rare.
To see bits and pieces of yourself
reflected back to you in their eyes,
To admire the qualities you wish you had,
To simply love them for who they are.
Even more special is seeing their smile
mirrored on the faces of their little ones.
Some of us are lucky enough to have good
friends in our life and lasting friendships.
I am lucky to have you in my life, my forever friend.
We have a field of memories to look back on,
And some new ones to create…until then,
I will miss you.
