Silence

I sit and watch from a distance, wanting you so much.
Holding back my feelings with such strong resistance.

I see you everyday in my thoughts and in the silence of my heart.
It saddens me so, it is tearing me apart.

For you are my only true friend
I'm hurting inside, my emotions I cannot defend.

I can't let you go,
There is so much I want to tell you,
there is so much you do not know.

I will wait in silence,
this silence I will hold.

For now, I will sit on the sidelines watching you from afar
waiting for you to come to me, wishing for my shinning star.

My friend, I miss you, why did we have to part?
Can't we be together, together from the start?

I now realize that this is not a game,
there is only one thing left to say,
my friend is myself, myself is one to blame.
