It rained last night, once again
Wetness spreading over the flowers
They drink in the sweetness, relishing the taste
Trying to satiate their thirst from waiting in the sun so long
The blossoms open up seizing the moment
Only to be thrashed by the downpour
It is delightful and painful at the same time
The flowers had forgotten how quenching the rain is
And how agonizing the wait for it to come again.
